 Rules

Divide the group into two teams with an equal number of players.

Field is split in half

A home base and a jail area are designated on each side. Place the flag in the middle of the home base. (the flag may be a ball or frisbee)

Playing

Players are allowed to guard the boundary of their home base and jail, but are not allowed inside their own home base or jail (if necessary a max number of people allowed to guard home base or jail can be set )

Other players try to tag the opposing players when they sneak across the middle line into enemy territory OR They try to sneak to the enemy side to capture the flag

Jail

Tagging an opponent in your territory means he/she is captured.

Captured opponents are placed in the jail.

•only can be captured when you are on the opposing side of the field

To free a teammate in jail, a player must “safely” reach the opposing jail (not being tagged)

The teammates then get a free pass to their side of the field. They must hold up both hands as they walk to their side.

Capturing the flag

When a player enters into the opposing home base without being tagged and captures the flag, the opposition cannot tag him until he leaves the safe area.

If the flag is a ball/frisbee, it can be passed to teammates so the “flag” can quickly get to the other side.

The ball/frisbee can ONLY be thrown/passed once it has left the home base area.

If the ball/frisbee is passed and not caught, it is returned to the home base area.

The opposing team may intercept the ball/frisbee or knock it down.

A team wins when the “flag” is captured by it crossing the middle line either by a successful pass or ran across by a player that has not been tagged.

Students will be separated into 2 teams of 20.

While the students participate in the game/sport, additional individual or small group instruction on specific skills, rules, tactics, strategies as needed depending on level of competence in each of these areas.
